Many times, I have thought of my competitors as "the enemy," with a no holds barred philosophy.   I've always been one of those Type 'A' personalities, and some may have even called me an "A------."

My ex-wife was an athlete of sorts, as she had played football on her high school "Powder Puff"  all-girls team.   She knew a lot about football, and even knew how a 'Statue of Liberty' play was run, which my Dad ran way back in the 1930's.   She still follows college and pro football to this day.

I was lucky.....Yankee Stadium was only a short train ride from our home in Westchester County, New York.   My Dad and I had been New York Yankee's fans our whole lifetimes, and had brought many discussions throughout the years.   During my early years, Dad and my uncle would take me to 'The Stadium'.   I remember that I was quite irritated, when everyone would stand up to cheer, but kept on standing.

It was a dark and foreboding moonless night at the Florida Boy Scout Camp.   A  few hundred Scouts with flashlights approached a monster tree hut.   As we shone our flashlights upward about twenty feet, we could see several long walkways stretching from tree to tree--mostly very large oaks.
