Written by Dean Flewwellin

As a little kid, I loved Easter Egg Hunts, especially since I could run so fast - but mostly because I did so well at them.   I learned a few things early - such as:

1.   Listen to what the adults were saying before the hunt.

Flooding You With Questions PDF Print E-mail
Written by Dean Flewwellin

Floods are fascinating, and certainly qualify as an exciting adventure--even though dangerous and destructive.   Do folks who can't swim or are just plain lazy, think of floods as a possible major disaster?   Why don't they become scared enough to try to practice self-preservation?   Why do so many people wade or play in polluted floodwaters--especially when they are not in any danger?

Born A Bastard, Die A Clown!!! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Dean Flewwellin

As I sorted through 55 large boxes of family history, I came upon my birth certificate.   However, this time, I suddenly noticed that my parents' marriage date showed the next year after my birth date.   "Holy Moly, Batman"......it appears that I was a little bastard!?   So I grabbed the phone and called my Dad.

Thoughts From The "Poop Deck" PDF Print E-mail
Written by Dean Flewwellin

At the camp on Grand Isle, Louisiana, every night about 4 am, I arise to check out the potty, the moon, the waves, and look for UFOs.   Walking down the hallway, and looking through the glass back door, I can see the lights of the oil rigs offshore.   Thus, as I've done for the past eight years, I grab a soft-bottomed folding chair to place on the "Poop deck."

Going To The Dogs PDF Print E-mail

Let me make this perfectly clear....I'm not a dog lover!   Pussycats - yes, but not those snarly, growly, yip-yapping poopy puppies - especially after being bitten by two bulldogs during my early years.   As fast as I thought I was, their four little legs outran me.
