Pass The Muster, Please PDF Print E-mail
Written by Anna N. Moss

I had made an active decision to be inactive with this column to try to let the president do his job, uninterrupted, without petty pointing, and with as much confidence as I could muster.   Muster.   That's a funny word, but so descriptive and apt.

I just can't be quiet any longer.   I find all of this so upsetting.   I want to have confidence in my president.   I want to support my president.   I really want him to be strong.   We, as a nation, need him to be strong.

Is Obama missing something?   Are we missing something?   What is wrong with our country's leadership?   I felt it was important to not point out every fault, misstep, stumble, and things I felt were outrageous and looked upon with disbelief.   I really tried.   I tried to give Obama my support as an American.

It's not that I don't believe he can't do the job.   It's more like, well, yeah, that would be it.   I don't think he was, or is, up for the job.   And that's a real shame, on so many elemental levels I really don't want to get into now.   But wait, there's more.   I don't think Sarah Palin is up for the job either, but that, too, is another show entirely.   It really isn't too late for him to step up to the plate and stop the spinning collapse of his administration.   But will he?

So, on the news, Obama said the lack of transparency with the healthcare bill was its undoing.   The thing is, Mr. President, you're transparent in the wrong areas--you know, the CIA files; potential prosecution to CIA agents; legal rights for terrorists; who is in and out of the white house blogged on the internet....What are you thinking?   These are not areas that should be transparent.   Soooooooo, the healthcare reform was the big secret, but our national security isn't.   I don't know, this is just not passing the muster.

-China owns us, thanks to our former president; senate; and you, our present president.

-The group who really needs help with healthcare is the working middle-class.   Poverty struck individuals on government assistance are typically taken care of.

-The realization that a handshake and a bow do not equal peace was an especially hard one to swallow.   I still cringe for you, even if you don't see you should be cringing yourself.

-The First Family traveling extensively was quite shocking when you asked for the belts to tighten, only to expand your own.   That really smacked the 'people' in the face.

-Small businesses on the endangered list.

-The trillions or so we owe for, what was it we were supposed to get for that?   I forget.   Oh, yeah, more debt--for me and mine.   Can we just give back the money we haven't spent and start over?

These are just basic issues causing me unease.   Is it only the more conservatives who are anxious?   I mean, I am  being called 'a conservative paranoid' because I have legitimate questions.   Hell, the terrorists have more rights than the average citizen.    Yeah, I'm truly stressed over our leadership.

I wonder if this is how the democrats felt when The W was in office--except safer?

 You might just as well pass the MUSTARD too, as Barack Obama is presenting himself as a "HOT DOG" - similar to many black athletes. Might as well toast his two surrounding BUNS to a crisp, & watch Pelosi's buns, & Reid's buns - go down in flames. Now that sensible Americans are becoming CHILI towards his vast inexperience, & dangerous decisions, it may be time to toss the dog into the garbage can.
Anna's back!

Welcome back, Anna! Spot-on with 'transparency.' Obama: Kill the terrorists and stay out of my wallet! Jim
