MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
avatar
Hildi - 12-18-2010 05:32

It is that wonderful time of year again...all the bustling and real pain in the butt crowds at the mall, all the lines at the post office or other postal sites, and best of all, the most wonderful, upbeat and friendly attitudes of everyone you come in contact with. I want to send everyone a note to wish everyone a happy, healthy holiday (whichever you celebrate) and a sincere wish of good luck and fortune in the coming year. MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVEN TO A KNUCKLEHEAD
avatar
Mean Dean - 12-19-2010 13:46

I agree! It is the same way down here in "Cajun Country." I found one Grinch though. I went to the Outback restaurant to buy a few gift certificates, & darn near got into a fight. He was a wee bit drunk, but only an aggravation. I really should have given him a knuckle sandwich - for Christmas - of course. :D
A CHRISTMAS STORY BY "UNEVEN STEVEN!"
avatar
Mean Dean - 12-14-2010 10:35

 Hey gang.....don't forget to read "Yes Virginia, Santa Is A Biker," for a naughty look into "Sexy Santa," & the rowdy riders of "Hogs." It's like "The Big Bopper" meets "The Big Chopper!" Look for a new take on "Snow Cones," & even the Elves get into "The Act." You may have to qualify as a wee bit naughty to read it though. Do you qualify :?: :?: :?:
MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL

OIL SPILL & STORM ALERTS ON FRONT PAGE
avatar
Mean Dean - 07-09-2010 06:04

 ATTENTION WORLD! Check out the 2 newest links on our Moonbaby Front Page! One includes detailed BP information concerning "The Great Gulf Gusher & Oil Spill Of 2010" in the Gulf of Mexico. Also, 5 other oil rigs with two Remotely Operating Vehicles each, televising live feed action, plus a wide variety of info - including how to make a claim. Secondly, The Storm Tracking link is alive again this year, to help us all keep up with those dangerous hurricanes - which metereologists have predicted could be one of our worst years ever (23 storms - I believe).
GRAND ISLE'S GREAT FIREWORKS!
avatar
Mean Dean - 07-03-2010 12:58

Hey Hildi...fireworks began Thursday evening on Grand Isle. Several smaller shows Friday evening. The Bridgeside Marina has scheduled a major show on the west end of the island. We can see them all from our "Poopdeck," as we simply just move our chairs around. Our next door neighbor always has one of the best fireworks I've seen, with the possible exception of Disneyworld (14 imes). We can watch them set them off & scurry around, from their large yard, about 100' from our camp. They will shoot from 8pm to midnight, & sometimes we have a BBQ while watching. Drinks, snacks & popcorn are a must too. There are about 3 other large fireworks displays on the island. Sunday will almost dupicate the Saturday display. Yeah...we know...somebody has some "bucks to burn!?" :woohoo:
the works!
avatar
Hildi - 07-03-2010 14:16

yeah, but you can't take it with you!!! enjoy it while you can. i'll bet it is just a boatload of fun. We have to go to watch them at a park in Ridgewood. It is nice, but only lasts about 45 minutes, if that long. Too bad....they are fun.
NO BUZZ ON GRAND ISLE - YET!
avatar
Mean Dean - 07-03-2010 21:29

It really is a special time! Even if the skeeters begin buzzing, we all go inside & watch through 4 large windows in the living room. Extremely few skeeters this season - so far. Even though we have had lots of rain, & puddling on the island. Of course, they will probably begin hatching soon too. So far....the "tar babies" & national guardsmen have been lucky - in that respect. :woohoo:
Just saying Hi

HEY...HOW ABOUT A WHINE & CHEESE PARTY
avatar
Mean Dean - 06-03-2010 19:14

 I agree with ibrad2, especially if he is related to R2-D2 of Star Wars - so pass the wine. Is it time for another Moonbaby "Whine & Sleeze Party?" :S
I want to live there
avatar
jbrad2 - 06-01-2010 19:21

Hi, Angela. As I look at the front of this website, at the picture of you and your sister, I think: where ever they are I want to live. What a beautiful place. And I'll take a glass of wine as well. B)
BEWARE THE WAYWARD WIND
avatar
Mean Dean - 05-27-2010 17:21

 On our Moonbaby front page, "The Oil Has Hit Our Soil" is in itself a dramatic statement! However, if the predicted heaviest hurricane season materializes(23), camps, houses, hotels or any dwelling along the Gulf coast &/or the Atlantic coast - may feature oil-based paint this season. If you favor the odds, then all of these coastal areas should be heavily forewarned to PLAN AHEAD, as safety first will be of utmost importance. Hurricane season is from June first to November first, & only 4 DAYS AWAY. Moonbaby will again feature their annual updated hurricane information link on the front page.
The Oil Slick

TedCzukor - 05-26-2010 07:54

I'm so sorry for what you all are going through on the Coast. In every crisis of life we have to adapt and survive as best we can; but words fail when contemplating the danger to that beautiful, vital ecosystem, and the uprooting of people's lives (wasn't Katrina enough?). Nor does it help to know that blame will eventually be placed for the human omissions and errors that allowed the disaster to happen; that is not enough compensation for such destruction. You are all in my thoughts and in my heart.
"THE GREAT GULF OIL SPILL OF 2010"
avatar
Mean Dean - 05-26-2010 11:46

Thanks for the kind words Ted. We were saying the same thing two years after Katrina'Rita, when Gustav/Ike wiped out many camps & mobile homes AGAIN. They are really working hard on the oil hitting the beaches, with the marshes a different ball game. There were 40 workers on the beach in front of Catherine's camp last weekend, & were busy scooping seaweed & filling large garbage bags. June 1st is the start of hurricane season, so that is a greater worry, as a storm surge would really coat everything like chocolate syrup over vanilla ice cream - but not as tasty. But if Louisiana State University has another great football team, & the New Orleans Saints go to the Super Bowl again - the gung-ho fans here will overcome the negatives. BP has already tried to make life easier for the locals who have suffered so much, so I'm thinking positive that in the end, they will offer more assistance. As you said...."adapt and survive :!: "
RSS FEEDS ON THE MOONBABY FRONT PAGE
avatar
Mean Dean - 05-13-2010 08:36

Hey Moonbabies....Y'all should really check out the RSS FEEDS on the Front Page of Moonbaaby. Today features Winnie Cooper, that former teenage heart-throb on the hit TV show Wonder Years. Also, an article concerning Miley Cyrus doing a lap dance. Both articles have sexy pics. Further, RSS feeds you the most interesting up-to-date news, which is why I try to check it out daily. Many of them appear before your TV news broadcasts! Try it - you'll like it! :woohoo:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOONBABY!
avatar
Mean Dean - 05-07-2010 06:58

Hey......Moonbaby is now 2 years old, so time to Pamper the little devil, & enhance the breast feeding frenzy. "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" - isn't it :?: That was 1969, so maybe it is time to take our Moonbaby for another moon walk. Ya think :?:

And please don't forget that the positive influences of love & sex make for interesting writing & reading. I can visualize Moonbaby medal winners in there somewhere.

harleyfiggins - 03-27-2010 17:17

I am pissed, have an attitude problem, and plan on stating that way. Tues. Moore County sheriff's Dept found a "meth lab" in my woods. I will now shoot all freaking meth chefs on sight, Wed. the log splitter threw it's piston through the cylinder wall. Today I stuck a rock through the side wall of the fourwheelers back t'ar. GUTLESS WONDERS?
avatar
Mean Dean - 05-14-2010 07:46

Has anyone noticed that there is a huge percentage of "Gutless Wonders" in this world, who are basically afraid to offer their own opinions about anything - especially in print? Even on Moonbaby, where we have several intelligent writers. Even the "overly aggressive women" are not responding. I wonder if they will respond to the question....Are women beginning to realize that Equal Rights for them has gone too far, & they will all have to work harder & longer, because the newer generations of men are basically overwhelmed by it - & have become wimps? Do women wonder why young men don't want to marry until after age 30? And why are so many women in their early twenties, with a kid or two, in a "single" status - with mostly "one night stands" in their future? I welcomed in Equal Rights about 40 years ago, but IMMEDIATELY, women didn't want to put forth the effort to do EQUAL WORK as men. Methinks the majority of women STILL BELIEVE they don't have to share the workload equally. PROOF? Just tap into the Facebook walls of the younger generation. The overall stupidity is overwhelming! :S
